Based in Central Victoria, ceramicist Minna Graham specialises in carved sculptural vessels and functional ceramics with a focus on tea ware. She completed a Diploma of Ceramics at the University of Ballarat in 2012, receiving the Brian McLellan Award for Outstanding Achievement, and her work has since been exhibited in galleries including Craft Victoria and Sturt Gallery. Minna is a founding member and former director of Clayspace, the Daylesford and Region Ceramics Collective, which she was involved with from 2010 to 2018. Minna has studied traditional pottery and firing techniques in Japan, Myanmar, East Timor and Cambodia, experiences that continue to inform her practice through diverse cultural influences.
In 2014 she undertook a Bachelor of Fine Arts (yet to be completed) majoring in Ceramics at Federation University, receiving the Albert Coates Memorial Award and induction into the Golden Key International Honour Society. Recent highlights include a 2025 residency at Avairio Studios in Portugal, participation as a guest demonstrator and presenter at the 2025 Australian Ceramics Triennial Wedge, winning the Pottery Expo Potters Choice Award in 2023 and 2026, and being a finalist in the 2024 North Queensland Ceramic Awards and the Northern Beaches Environmental Art Award. She continues to produce sculptural vessels and tableware for exhibitions nationally.
